- Temporary residence card - temporary residence permit / temporary residence card, issued for a period not exceeding 3 years.
- Blue Card - a type of temporary residence permit / temporary residence card for work, issued for professions requiring high qualifications (programmers, department heads, HR specialists, etc.)
- Permanent residence card - permanent residence permit / permanent residence card, which gives the right to unlimited residence in Poland, but the card itself must be changed every 10 years.
- Permit to stay as a long-term resident of the European Union - long-term resident of the European Union card.
Temporary Residence Card:
- official employment in Poland;
- studying at Polish educational institutions (universities, police schools);

- citizenship of any EU country;

Blue Card:
- confirmed income of PLN 8,500;
- higher education diploma or 5 years of experience in the required profession;
- signed employment contract for a period of at least 1 year;
Permanent Residence Card:
- possession of a Pole's Card;
- Polish roots;
- children are citizens of Poland.
Permit to stay as a long-term resident of the European Union:
- the person has been residing in Poland legally and continuously for the past 5 years;
- is able to provide proof of a permanent source of income;
- has health insurance;
- documentary confirmation that the candidate speaks Polish.
For each case (from work, from study, from family reunification, etc.) on the basis of which you plan to apply for the card, there is a separate list of documents. In the list below we list the documents for a residence permit / residence card that are required when applying in any direction:
- completed application form (wniosek);
- international passport;
- insurance contract;
- housing rental contract;
- PESEL/NIP number (if available);
- stamp duty payment receipt;
- 4 photos measuring 3.5x4.5 cm.
For each of the grounds for application, you need to show the inspector:
- that you have a place to live (housing rental contract);
- have something to live on (employment contract, bank statement);
- have someone to treat you in case of illness in Poland (insurance contract).
